Opinion (Definition)
A
An opinion is a non-exact assessment of something based on one of the five senses.

Lay Opinion
A
If the lay opinion would be helpful to the jury to understand the testimony, it is admissible.

Expert Opinion
A
An expert must be qualified in the subject matter, have proper factual basis for the testimony, and the testimony must be of help to the fact-finder (must be generally accepted in the relevant scientific community).
