Ask whether the out of court quote must be true to be relevant in the manner you have analyzed. If yes, it is hearsay. If no, it is not.

A
Where a hearsay statement is conveying another statement that is also hearsay. Usually occurs where Person 1 asserts what Person 2 said regarding what Person 3 said to Person 2.
