2
Q
What are the two types of ophthalmic imaging?
A
- digital techniques
- angiographic techniques
3
Q
Digital techniques

- used to improve the measurement of eye defects such as glaucoma
- the technique is non-invasive, unlike angiographic and it allows evaluation of both the retina and choroid layers of the eye
4
Q
Angiographic techniques
A
- can be used to measure blood flow through the eye
- a dye is injected into the arm and its progress through the blood vessels of the eye is recorded using a retinal camera
5
Q
Abnormal test results

- macular degeneration
- cataracts
- glaucoma
- damaged nerves or blood vessels
