Operational Procedures - Environmental Impact Flashcards
What documents handling and disposal of potentially hazardous material?
Material Safety Data Sheet
Maintaining a temperature at or below for <40 degrees Celsius. Ideally 65 degrees Fahrenheit, but sustained temperatures of 80 degrees or more would be dangerous.
Ideal Conditions for CPU, Hard Drive, Server Room or Computer Components in general
Ideal is 50%. Too Low Levels can cause more electrostatic discharge. Too High Levels can cause Condensation and Water Damage.
Humidity Level
Keeping air flowing through the system.. Avoiding dust build up. Avoid having open parts in the back of the system.
Ventilation
Dip in power. Dim Lights.
Brown Out
Power goes completely out.
Black Out
Stores enough power so that, in the occurrence of a black out, devices can be shut down properly and avoid data loss.
Uninterruptible Power Source
Keeps airborne particles out
Enclosures, Air Filters and Masks
used to remove dust and debris from electrical components without risking electrostatic discharge
ESD Vacuum
