And, Lord, I pray that Larry would understand what he has heard today and that You would speak to his heart today as only You can.”

Phrase by Phrase Prayer
(This is part of Step #9)
Dear Lord, I know that I have broken Your law and I am guilty of sin.
I repent of that sin, and want to turn from it,
and I ask for Your forgiveness.
I believe that You paid for my sin on the cross.
And, right now, the best way I know how,
by faith I am asking You to come into my heart
and be my Personal Savior.
And take me to Heaven when I die.
Thank You Lord for saving my soul today.
Please take my life and make it what You want it to be.
Step #10
“Larry with our heads still bowed, I want you to pretend for just a moment that I have left the room, and Jesus has come in and taken my place. Now, Larry, if you meant business and were sincere when you said that prayer I would like you to reach out and take my hand as if it were the hand of Jesus.”
Step #11
“Thank You Lord for saving Larry’s soul today. That his sins are forgiven and Heaven is his home. And I pray that You would help him to understand not only that he is saved, he is a Christian, but God that he would begin to grow in grace and be mightily used of You, not only to serve You but to be a blessing to others. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.”
“Congratulations Larry, I am thrilled that you have received Christ as your Savior, that is truly tremendous.” (Shake Larry’s hand).

Who does “Whosoever” mean?
Does it mean you?
On whom did you call just now?
What did you ask Jesus to do for you?
Did you mean business?
What did He promise to do?
Notice that the verse says “…shall be saved.”
Save you from what?
Can God lie?
According to the Bible are you a saved or a lost person?
Why (are you a saved person)?
When did you do that, Larry?
Where were you when you did that?
Where do saved people go when they die?
Then if you died right now, where would you go?
If you died tomorrow, where would you go?
If you died ten years from now, where would you go?
(You could fill out a “Birth Certificate” for him at this point).
