A

ABCDE
IV morphine
IV antibiotics as prophylaxis (co-amoxiclav)

surgical management:
wash out of wound
temporary stabilisation 
give another antibiotic(gentamicin), wait for tissue swelling to reduce
complete fixation and closure of wound

A
  1. <1cm wide
  2. > 1cm moderate tissue damage
  3. > 1cm severe tissue damage
    3a. >10cm wide with adequate soft tissue covering
    3b. >10cm wide but inadequate soft tissue covering
    3c. any would with a major vascular injury
