OPAMPS Flashcards
Open Loop Gain
AoL(open loop gain), the gain when no feedback loop exists to feed some of the output signal back to the input. For the ideal opamp AoL is infinite.
Ideal OPAMPS
Infinite input impedance: No current flows into input terminals
Zero Output Impedance: Output voltage is independent of the current drawn by and load connected to the output terminals
Infinite Bandwidth: Gain is the same for all signals and can amplify any frequency signal. Independent of the frequency signal.
Non-inverting Amplifier
The output is in-phase with the input
Inverting Amplifier
Output is180 degreed out of phase with the input
Inverting Amplifier Configuration
Connecting suitable resistor across amplifier from the output terminal back to the inverting input terminal can reduce and control the over gain since sometimes the open loop gain can be very high making it unstable.
Thus thus produces a closed loop circuit
No current flows through inputs, V1=V2=0
Gain
G = Vout/Vin = -Rf/Rin
Rf is the resistor across the amplifier and Rin is the R in
Differential Amplifier
Finds the differences of two voltages each multiplied by some constant.
Summing Amplifier
Combine voltages of two or more inputs into a single output
