Who were the people who met Andy and why didn’t they help?
The first person, a drunk man, came and he thought that he was also drunk. Then it was the couple that came, Freddie and Angela, they were too busy at first but then they heard grunts, they left Andy because he was a Royal and they were scared the Guardians would come for them. Then there was a deaf lady rummaging through the trash.
Why did Andy join a gang?
He wanted to feel important, cool, special, and he wanted a meaning in life.

In the climax of the story, Andy wanted to take off his jacket because when he dies, he did not want anyone to see him as a Royal who was stabbed, but as Andy.

The resoluotion of On the sidewalk bleeding is when Andy dies off and the cops come over to inspect his dead corpase to find that he’s a Royal.

Andy is walking to a nearby convience store, but gets stabbed. He is left on the ground in the rain.
