Describe the steps for sacral MET of forward torsion

A

Pt. Prone, Flex knees and roll onto Left Hip (Axis Down) Left trunk rotation to L5, Flex the lower extremity so Sacral base moves posterior, Have patient lift ankle against your counterforce (ME repeats)

Describe the steps for sacral MET of backward torsion

A

Paient in LLR (Axis Down). Pull left arm anterior and caudad to introduce neutral left sidebending and right lumbar rotation at L5. Extend legs until sacral base moves anteriorly. Drop pateint’s right leg in front of left knee and place hand against distal right femur. Maintain trunk rotation and provide ME counterforce to femur. (ME repeats)
