OM-A 8.3 Company Policies Flashcards
What are the (5?) criteria for approach stabilization?
To add
What are the requirements for approach stabilization at: - 2,000’ agl ? - 1,500’ agl ? - 1,000’ agl ? What are the exceptions at 1,000’ ?
To add:
At 2,000’ agl the landing gear SHOULD be selected down (ref)
At 1,500’ agl the landing flap SHOULD be SELECTED (not necessarily set, if extension completed).
At 1,000’ agl ….
What are the tracking a speed requirements for a ‘straight out’, AKA ‘standard’ Engine Out Procedure (EOP) ?
A ‘Straight Out Departure’ is to maintain runway TRACK (not heading), so you will have to compensate for wind. (The easiest way is to use TRK mode!),
The speed to climb at is V2, or the speed at failure as long as that is above V2, until at least minimum accelerate altitude. A higher climb will be needed if you get to minimum acceleration altitude and a malfunctioning engine is not yet secure.
