Which symptoms are usually not present in elders with hypoglycemia?

What is the difference between subclinical and overt hypothyroidism?
Subclinical - increased TSH but no change in T3 + T4
Overt - increased TSH and decreased T3 + T4
When would you treat elderly hypothyroidism? Why?
When TSH>10ml U /L
Subclinical hypothyroidism could have protective effects
- decreases myocardial oxygen demand
What is the maintenance dose for vitamin D3?
800-1000 IU
What are the two types of treatments of Vitamin D deficiency?
Burst - 50,000 units QW for 8 weeks
Slow - 50,000 units Qmonthly for 2 - 3 months
