What is “subornation of perjury”?
A
“subornation of perjury” = procuring or inducing another to commit perjury

What is “bribery”?
A
At common law –> corrupt payment or receipt of value for official action
Modern statutes –>
- may be extended to non-public officials, and
- either offering or taking of bribe may constitute crime

What is “compounding a crime”/
A
At common law --> Agreeing, for valuable consideration: 1. not to prosecute another for a felony; or 2. to conceal commission of a felony; or 3. conceal whereabouts of felon
Under modern statutes –> any crime, not just felonies

What is “misprision of a felony”?
A
At common-law –>
- failure to disclose commission of a felony; OR
- failure to prevent commission of a felony
Modern statutes –> no longer a crime. Or, if it remains a crime, requires affirmative action in aid of felon
