A
  • Any person who is reported missing to Police
  • Whose whereabouts are unknown
    AND
  • There are fears for safety, or concerns for the welfare, of that person

What is a voluntary missing persons?

A

They have control over their actions and decisions.

- runaways, removed themselves, unaware they have been reported missing.

A

Missing against their will.

- murder, kidnapping, abduction, people suffering dementia, mental health.

People who are disorientated and want to be found.

- lost at sea, bush, car accidents. (SAR operations)
