Site of impingement
A
Can be compressed anywhere along the course of the nerve, but most likely due to nerve root irritation (L2-L4)
Obturator hernia (usually seen in older women), may also result in pain or tingling over the cutaneous distribution (Howship-Romberg sign)

Signs and symptoms
A
Weak adducts of thigh, patient will have difficulty crossing their legs- results in difficult ambulation (gait abnormalities)
Possible isolated loss of sensation to middle thigh (Myalgia paraesthetica)
Decreased adductor tendon jerk
