- specific obsessions & compulsions that embody content unacceptable to client and creates anxiety
- obsessive thoughts, words, or phrases and cause emotional distress & disrupt thought process
- obsessive images of violent, sexual or disturbing nature that appear repeatedly
- obsessional beliefs based on irrational assumptions
- obsessional ruminations or repeated worried behaviors
- obsessive impulses incl. thoughts of aggression toward others, self-harm or humiliating behaviors
- obsessive fears or intense anxiety about specific objects, situations or locations or performing specific acts
- compulsive rituals: repetitive actions to produce relief from obsessive thoughts
