Observational design Flashcards

1

Q

Structured observation design

A
  • target behaviour clearly defined

- allows researcher to quantify their observations using a pre-determined list of behaviours and sampling methods

Q

Sampling methods

A
  • continuous recording - all instances of a target behaviour are recorded - unstructured observation
  • event sampling
  • time sampling
