Objection List - TFR Flashcards

Q

The cost per device is too high. (First Answer)

A

With a little information from your biller, I can generate a detailed report like this one (show briefly) to show you how practices are making this work. There are a few key areas where ultrasound and the UltraGuideTFR can save your patient and the facility money, often offsetting the cost of the device. Who in billing would it be best for me to speak with?

Q

The cost per device is too high (second answer)

A

The UltraGuideTFR device can help save money by moving the procedure from the operating room and reducing the cost associated with facility fees, anesthesia, staffing, O.R. supplies, and time. For many physicians the reimbursement can actually be higher in the office. In many cases your peers are seeing that reimbursement for TFR in the office is enough to cover your professional service fee and the device while adding convenience and reducing OOP cost for the patient. If you can connect me with your billing team, we can check reimbursements and put together an ROI analysis using our Economic Calculator?

Q

The cost per device is too high (Second answer hybrid)

A

The economics of TFR-US in the office are very patient friendly. In many cases the reimbursement in the office is more than the professional fee reimbursed to physicians in the hospital or ASC, and it can be cost effective for the patient. In some cases your peers who have adopted this technology are offering patients an in-office option to pay for the cost of supplies out of pocket. I can work with your billers to verify that the patient can choose to cover the cost of supplies out of pocket ($500/$550 for device plus ancillary supplies) if they wish. Many patients can save out of pocket expenses by avoiding facility and anesthesia fees, while enjoying the convenience of an office setting.

Q

I’m already performing the TFR-US using a nokor needle and seeing great results. I can’t justify adding the cost of your device.

A

It’s fantastic that your already using ultrasound in your practice. Many of our physician users have actually swithced from Nokor to our device. Early user feedback has been that they like the way the device slides under the pulley and the single motion retrograde transection. Would you be opposed to speaking to one of your peers who is using the device so you can hear from a physician directly?

Q

TFR is simple enough and I don’t have time to learn US for this.

A

Through our comprehensive HCP training program you will be able to confidently utilize ultrasound and execute TFR-US with a commitment of less than 5 hours. Up front, Sonex Health provides a self-guidedm video slide deck to teach you the basics of TFR-US and pertinent anatomy. Next, I will come back to your office for a 60 minute scanning session where we will scan your office team and/or patients. Lastly, we bring a cadaveric training session to your clinic where you will utilize ultrasound to execute TFR-US on 8 fingers. This training program costs our company upwards of $12,000.

Q

I do this in the ASC and dont have to purchase a costly device.

A

How much are your patients paying for TFR in the ASC? Some patients may perfer to avoid the O.R. and can save money by having this type of procedure in the office. Many of your peers have said the reimbursement in the office is enough to offset the cost of the
