A

all people are likely to obey authority figures - 100 percent of participants acting as a teacher (authority) would give painful shots - up to 300v to victim (confederate) - thought it was a participant - orders of scientist acting as authority figure - 65 percent gave lethal voltage - stopped shouting - which could mean they were dead

A

agency - make descions - most of the time in an autonomous state - feel in charge - giving up agencey - agentic shift, agentic state - let someone make our decisions - follow instructions - responsible - feel that we don’t get consequences

learn who is and isn’t a legitimate authority figure - socialisation - police and scientists are higher on the social hierarchy - people who are not (cleaners) make judgement via uniform
