placenta implants too low in the uterus. Placenta tears away from uterus slowly so no pain. More likely to have spotting
Abruptio placentae
premature/traumatic tearing of the placenta from the uterus. Pain and bleeding. May have spotting but not as common
pre-clampsia
Mom’s blood vessels become irritated and blood pressure rises. HA, vision problems, blurred vision or spotted vision
eclampsia
has gotten worse and not mom has seizures High blood pressure above 160 / 110 mm Hg. TRUE EMERGENCY
