How might you ask first question into gynae history?
A
“Do you mind if I ask you a few personal questions about your periods and your sexual health?”
“Have you ever seen a gynaecologist?”

What do you ask for in gynae history?
A
- Periods (when was your last? what is normal for you? painful? heavy? at weird times i.e. IMB, PCB, PMB)
- Discharge (any abnormal discharge? colour, offensive, smell, itchy)
- Fertility (any problems getting pregnant in the past)
- Sex (dyspareunia? deep or superficial? contraception? STIs?)
- Smears (when was last time? any abnormal results?)
- Water works (urgency, frequency, incontinence)

A
- current pregnancy (how far along? how has pregnancy gone so far?)
- previous pregnancies (mode of delivery, gestation, complications)
- miscarriages (inc management) or abortion
- fertility (any problems getting pregnant in the past)
- smears (when last time, any abnormal results including LLETZ procedure)

A
- fetal movements (if >21 weeks)
- bleeding
- waters broken/ PV fluid
- abdo pain

A
what on now and what on before conception?

A
- gynae cancers (breast, ovarian, endometrial, bowel)
- Obs: problems with birth

A
- feel safe and supported at home?
- screen for safety
- sexual history (where you on any contraception? why stop? did you have 1 or multiple sexual partners?)
- mental health/ psych symptoms
- job and impact
