- Categories include- vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and essential amino acids

A diet consisting of a variety of different types of food and providing adequate amounts of nutrients for good health

A
The optimum range of intake of a persons essential nutritional requirement. These can be influenced by age, growth, sex, pregnancy, breast feeding, and psychological and emotional stress.

A
- Bad conditions of intestines will reduce the absorption of digested foods into the bloodstream.
- Metabolic faults, sensitivity to certain foods and the presence of substances like tea and coffee can affect the absorption rate of certain nutrients.
