-symptoms- muscle cramps, pain in bones

• caused by a lack of vitamin A, known as ‘dry eyes’
• can be cured in early stages with Vitamin A supplements, e.g. palm oil
• cannot be cured in later stages, leads to complete blindness or death
• symptoms- headaches, eye pain, cloudy vision
