What does the suit of pentacles represent?
Element of Earth, Grounding. Concerning all things physical.
What does the suit of Swords represent?
Element of Air, Intellect. Cuts to the quick, deals with issues of the mind and thought.
What does the suit of wands represent?
Element of Fire, Action and Passion. Deals with drives and desires, from the ember to the wildfire.
What does the suit of cups represent
The element of water, emotions. It cleanses, refreshes and nourishes.
What theme runs through the Aces?
The aces are about essence. Think of the difference between bear and Bear, where one is the animal and one is the essential nature of the animal. The aces are the pure undiluted core of the suit. (I.e., Heart, Thought, Drive, Emotion)
What theme runs through the twos?
The theme of coming together. The plans before the actions, the people becoming couples, the clarity of thought, and the juggling of responsibilities.
What theme runs through the threes?
Represents the journey. Emotional, Intellectual, or Physical, there is change coming.
What theme runs through the fours?
Fours are about resting. There is a moment of peace and of grace, and are associated with the present.
What theme runs through the fives?
After the rest of the fours, the fives are about renewed action. These are about unrest and preparedness, pentacles are recovery, cups are regret, swords are revenge, and wands are revolt.

Recognition for your place in the world, to be aware of where you are, what you have around you, and what you need to do next. Also associated with the present.
What theme runs through the sevens?
The sevens are about conflict, they say that you don’t get what you want just yet. What it means is that we find the why we want and how hard we are willing to work for it.
What theme runs through the eights?
Hope is the theme, sometimes about investing in ourselves in the pentacles and wands, or just before hope kicks in for the cups and swords.
What theme runs through the nines?
Burgeoning and maturing, it’s about awareness, about becoming awake to the world and growing with the changes we see.
What theme runs through the tens?
Excess is what the rules the tens. It is the over the top for all of the suits.
What theme runs through the pages?
Representing the ID or the devil on the shoulder. It represents the overzealousness but lack of direction within the cards. Some misunderstanding for sure, moving too quickly and lacking the life experience.
