Q

How do I calculate ratios?

A

With a ratio 8:12 it can be simplified to 2:3
Eg. Divide $1400 between two people in the ratio 2 to 5. Altogether there are seven parts.
Person 1 Gets 2/7 × 1400 = 400
Prison 2 gets 5/7 × 1400 = 1000
