All verbs beginning with KI (singular) = VI (plural.
Also verbs beginning with CHA (singular) = (VYA) plural.
They are all in the same class, meaning that adjectives /descriptors and possessives are changed uniformly for all:
Adjectives:
Kitabu / Vitabu: “nzuri” becomes “kizuri” / “vizuri”
Chakula/ Vyakula: “nzuri” becomes “kizuri” / “vizuri”
Possessives:
Kitabu / Vitabu: CHANGU / VYANGU
Chakula / Vyakula: CHANGU / VYANGU
Heddwen’s book (kitabu OF Heddwen) = Kitabu CHA Heddwen
The school’s food: “chakula CHA shuleni”
**Only exception is any noun that refers to person/people, e.g. KIONGOZI. This takes on the M/WA noun class rules. E.g. two leaders = viongozi wapili.
