Submergent landscapes where the sea level has risen to form new landforms.

What are Fjords?
A
Fjords are drowned glacial valleys where as glaciers retreat, narrow inlets between the cliffs are filled by the sea.

How deep are Fjords compared to the adjacent sea?
A
Fjords are generally much deeper than the nearby sea (10s of metres lower than nearby land) due to the glacier eroding the land deeper than the relatively shallow sea.
