Normal Procedures pt.1 Flashcards
1
Q
SOP - Right engine starting (battery) - (9):
A
- “Clear right” Right ignition and engine start - on, [R IGNITION ILLUMINATED] & [R FUEL PRESS] - EXTINGUISHED
- N1, fuel flow zero, oil pressure rising.
- N1 stable or max N1, min 12%, and ITT below 200: Right condition lever low idle
- Fuel 80 - 110 PPH
- ITT light up, ITT rise within 10s, and monitor max 1000 celsius.
- At 50% N1 or above, right ignition and starter - off.
- Note max ITT.
Once engines is stable:
- Right condition lever - high idle.
- Right gen reset then on. R DC GEN extinguished, check loadmeter, and check battery volt.
- CHG battery until generator load is below 50%.
2
Q
What does “engine stable” after start mean?
A
a. ITT less than 750
b. Torque not powered
c. Prop RPM stable
d. N1 low idle 52%
e. Fuel flow normal
f. P/Ts in the green
3
Q
SOP - Left engine starting (gen assist as per SOP) - (13):
A
- Right generator - off
- “Clear left” Left ignition and start - on, [L IGNITION ILLUMINATED] & [L FUEL PRESS] - EXTINGUISHED
- N1, fuel flow zero, oil pressure rising.
- N1 stable or max N1, min 12%, and ITT below 200: Right condition lever low idle, right generator - on, right DC GEN extinguished.
- Fuel flow 80 - 110 PPH
- ITT light up, ITT rise within 10s, and monitor max 1000 celsius. And monitor
- At 50% N1 or above, left ignition and start switch - off.
- Note max ITT
- Once stable, both condition levers - low idle.
- Right generator - off (R DC GEN annunciator extinguished)
- Left gen - reset, then on. check load and volts.
- Right generator - reset then on. L&R load-meter 10% parallel.
- Inverter 1 & 2 individually select and test (380 - 420hz, 110 -120v)

Q
Oxygen Systems Check (N-10):
A
- Pax manual drop-out - push off
- System ready - pull on
- Oxygen masks - check (a. check continuous flow with emergency position, then to 100% position.
- Determine duration.
