Aborted engine start conditions:

A
  • n1/n2 does not increase/increases slowly after EGT increases (hung start)
  • no oil pressure indication when engine is stable at idle
  • EGT does not increase by 15 sec after start lever moved to idle (wet start/no light up)
  • EGT quickly nears/exceeds start limit (hot start)

  • moving engine start lever to idle early
  • failure of engine start switch to stay in GRD until starter cutout RPM (do not re-engage start switch until RPM below 20% N2)
