Echopraxia
Patient involuntarily copies another’s movements
Waxy flexibility
Having ones arm or body part placed in a certain position and them holding that same position for hours
Posturing
Voluntary assumption of an inappropriate or bizarre posture
Stereotype
Repetitive fixed patterns of physical action or speech
Negativism
Motiveless resistance to all attempts to be moved or to all instructions
Akathesia
Displaying motor restlessness, feeling of muscular quivering
At its worse patient is unable to sit still or lie quietly
Dyskinesia
Having distortion of voluntary movements
Parkinsonian like
Making mask like faces, drooling, having shuffling gait, tremors and muscular rigidly
Seen in people who are on typical antipsychotic medication
