What are fossil fuels?

A

Fossil fuels are fuels that give us energy, such as electricity, that are naturally made over millions of years from dead plants and animals

How is coal made?

A
  • Coal starts off as ferns, plants and trees
  • They get hardened from pressure and heat
  • After many years (this could take up to a million years), the plants would turn into coal
