Non Precision Approaches Flashcards
What must we remember about setting min prof altitudes on non precision approaches ?
Always round up the altitude that goes in the box, so it ends in a zero. Example 1405= 1410
Note . The altitude that goes in the FCP and the BARO are actual altitudes or mins.
How must a RNAV/VNAV approach be flown inside the FAF?
It must be flown in NAV and PROF with the autopilot engaged .
What are the main things to remember when shooting a RNAV/GPS approach.
Min prof alt for the box must end in zero….Baro and FCP alt are actual altitudes .
RNP mins set to 0.3
LNAV/VNAV mins require using prof and the autopilot/FD engaged FAF inbound.
GI must be displayed on the ND.
If able to maintain visual contact with the runway on non precision approach at the 1000 foot call, the PF says?
Runway in sight, set missed approach alt.
If not in sight,
Minimums________664
After the minimums call from the NFP on a non precision approach, what are the PF’s calls?

Go Around Thrust flaps 28 set missed approach Alt.
Almost the Same as a precision approach

Go around thrust flaps 28, Technique,,, verify missed approach alt….
When the PF sees the Runway on a non precision approach, we transition to visual approach callouts. 4 helpful things to do are ….
Runway in sight (required)
AP off
Set missed approach alt (required)
Give me vert speed 800 fpm down
