What is the call arriving at MDA/DA by the FP?
Set missed approach altitude
The NFP preselects the missed approach altitude and responds “missed approach altitude set “
If the runway is not in sight at MDA/DA, or a safe landing can’t be made, execute a go-around.
Non precision approach /////
Pilot Monitoring makes standard 1000 foot call, the Pilot fly responds …..
Confirm instruments in agreement with no flags and respond with “MDA/DA ……(MSL)
What is the max altitude for APU operation?
25,000 ft.
What is the max pitch attitude for a GO/AROUND?
22 deg

Wind shear recovery= 15 deg
CFIT = 20deg/// to stick shaker in and out..
When is WAGS enabled for detection?
On Takeoff from 80knots -1500ft AGL
On Approach from 1500ft AGL to 50ft AGL
What is the Pilot monitoring’s response to the flying pilots go around call if done correctly ?
Respond…. “Go-Around Thrust, flaps 28.
Note … Verify rotation to go around attitude(22 deg max) and thrust increases to GA setting.
1.66/GA limit as an example with a box around it..
During an engine out profile after takeoff, what must we be careful or aware of some departure procedures ?
After slat retraction the box will exit the engine out profile and revert to PROF. Prof still will honor a speed restriction in the box for the departure . Many RNAV departures have them .
speed intervene AFTER slat retraction seems to be the best answer. You can also delete the speed from the flight-plan , but the NFP will be on the DIR/INTERCEPT page. To much work to clean it up in the MCDU for me….
Can you re-engage the auto throttles by engaging prof?
Yes.
Note … As long as ATS is in white. AMBER means they are unavailable/
What must we remember to do in regard to WX and TERRAIN when setting up our panel prior to takeoff?
Make sure the brightness is turned up/ where you want it.
IF WAGS is not operative or suspect , and flight control becomes marginal at low alt, what do we do?
Initiate the windshear recovery procedure without delay.
MAX THRUST>(disconnect the auto throttles )
Auto pilot ( disconnect )
Pitch towards 15 degree..
Disregard flight Director.
Maintain configuration ….
