palsy
partial or complete paralysis (non-degenerative)
cerebral palsy
includes lack of motor coordination from cerebral damage during gestation or birth (plus partial or complete paralysis) (non degenerative)
Bell’s palsy
paralysis of one side of the face usually disappears after treatment (non-degenerative)
ataxia
lack of voluntary muscle coordination resulting from disorders of the cerebellum, pons, or spinal cord (non-degenerative)
epilepsy
chronic, recurrent seizures (ND)
aura
collection of symptoms felt just before
petit mal seizures
aka absence seizures mild and momentary disorientation (ND)
Tonic-clonic seizures/Grand mal seizures
much more severe and include loss of consciousness, convulsions, and twitching of limbs (ND)
Tourette syndrom
neurological disorder that causes uncontrollable sounds and tics (twitching). (ND)
