Nitro will dilate the blood vessels which will increase the blood flow and lower the required efforts needed by the heart to pump.
side effects of nitro
nausea, vomiting, lower BP, (hypotension) headache., light headed, etc.
is there a max repetition for nitro?
no as long as the pain is not constant……
9/10, 8/10, 5/10, 4/10…. keep giving it as it is working!
once it is 4X the same rate (ex: 4x 5/10) stop giving it.
in which protocol do you give nitro?
MED10 and MED8A

what should you do before administering nitro to a pt?
load it… spray it next to you but watch out for pets and children

DTOCP entre la machoir et l’ombilique, 360, incluant les bras chez un patient de plus de 35 ans.

un pt. de moins de 35 ans connu MCAS ou tout autre condition cardiaque

pain feels exactly like the previous IM…

- grossesse et allaitement
- douleur causé par un trauma
- stroke in the last 48 hrs
- allergie au nitrates
- DAVG
- TA plus bas que 100 ****
- tachy 100 et plus ou braddy en bas de 50 ****
- syncope due a la douleur
- chute cumulative du BP de 30 et plus
- medication for erectile dysfunctions (viagra 24H, levitra 24H, cialis 48H)
- pulmonary hypertension meds (ratio-sildenafil, sildenafil, tadalafil ANY TIME)
- any other meds for the same reasons
- any other meds for erectile dysfunction
