A
Effects lipolysis in adipocyte tissue. Decreases plasma triglyceride synthesis and reduces the release of VLDL from the liver. Results in reduced circulating VLDL, TG and LDL. Increases HDL by limiting Apo-A1 breakdown.

A
Flushing (pretreatment of aspirin can prevent this), palpitations, GIT disturbance
High dose can impair liver function, glucose tolerance, precipitate gout
