In 1879 he founded the institute of experimental psychology with his colleague Fechner.
Wundt and Fechner helped psychology start to become recognised as a science.
He used introspection to analyse human behaviour. Introspection is when trained participants vocalise or write down everything they are experiencing. From this Wundt gained insight into internal mental processes and outward behaviour.
