Q

What is newtons first law?

A

If the resultant force on a stationary object is zero, the object will remain stationary. If the resultant force on a moving object is zero, it’ll just carry on moving at the same velocity.

Q

What is newtons second law?

A

The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force is inversely proportional to the mass of the object.

What is Newton’s third law?

A

Each reaction has an opposite and equal rection. When two objects interact the forces they exert on each other are equal and equal.

Q

How does velocity apply to circular motion?

A

If an object is travelling in a circle, it has a constantly changing direction therefore a constantly changing velocity. This means it’s accelerating and this means there is a resultant force acting on it and it acts towards the centre of the circle, this is called centripetal force.

Q

What is inertia? What is inertial mass?

A

It is too keep moving with the same velocity and a persons inertial mass measures how difficult it is to change the velocity of an object. Inertial mass is the ratio of force over acceleration.

Q

How can you apply Newton’s third law?

A

When you push an object the object will push back against you just as equal. The forces act on different objects so I push an object and the object pushes me.
