New Vocab For Final Flashcards
Forces that are equal in size but opposite in direction are called blank. Blank can change the motion of an object in two ways.
Balanced and Unbalanced forces
a property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force.
Interia
the force that attracts a body toward the center of the earth, or toward any other physical body having mass. For most purposes Newton’s laws of gravity apply, with minor modifications to take the general theory of relativity into account.
Gravity
that attracts any object with mass. Every object, including you, is pulling on every other object in the entire universe! This is called Newton’s Universal Law of Gravitation.
Gravitational Force
the curved path of a celestial object or spacecraft around a star, planet, or moon, especially a periodic elliptical revolution.
Orbit
the action of rotating around an axis or center.
Rotation
is a type of magnet in which the magnetic field is produced by an electric current.
Electromagnetic
an instance of revolving.
Revolution
a stationary electric charge, typically produced by friction, that causes sparks or crackling or the attraction of dust or hair.
Static electricity
nearness in space, time, or relationship.
