Left inboard, left outboard, right inboard, right outboard pylons can accommodate the BRU-14 Bomb Rack Unit (BRU). Each bomb rack may carry a Mk 46 or Mk 54 torpedo. Left and right inboard pylons have wiring and tubing provisions for auxiliary (AUX) fuel tanks. The left and right outboard pylons also accommodate the M299 launcher for carrying Hellfire missiles. These pylons are easily removed from the aircraft for missions not requiring their use.

Flight clearance
All USN/USMC aircraft shall have an airworthiness approval in the form of a flight clearance document issued by NAVAIRSYSCOM. PErmanent flight clearances are issued via NATOPS and NATIP. Non standard MH-60 R aircraft configurations are issued by interim flight clearances that may be found on the NAVAIR airworthiness website.
