The new model army was introduced in 1645. Meaning that parliament had single cohesive and highly organised army. It became an efficient fighting force and won important battles.
Why were the new model army rules so stritc?
Regular drill training and discipline made the new model army more manoeuvrable or more easier to control, than the royalists.
