Neurovascular Supply Flashcards
Brachial artery is direct continuation of
Axillary Artery
Brachial Artery begins and ends
lower border of teres major and ends in the cubital fossa by dividing into radial and ulnar arteries, close to the neck of the radius.
Which branch of brachial artery is given off passing deep to triceps muscle
Profunda Brachii
The median nerve arises in
Axilla by two roots - one from medial and one from lateral cord of brachial plexus
The median nerve descends along
Lat axillary artery and Upper Brachial Artery
In the middle part of the arm the median nerve crosses to
Medial Aspect of Brachial Artery and enters cubital fossa
The ulnar nerve arises from
Medial cord of brachial plexus
Ulnar nerve descends along
the medial side of brachial artery and then it enters the posterior compartment of arm through the medial intermuscular septum.
The ulnar nerve runs along
the medial head of triceps and to the lie behind the medial epicondyle at the elbow.
