How is UMN paresis described?
A
Delay in onset of movement, long stiff stride.
Release of inhibition on LMNs- apparent in extensor muscles causing spastic paresis

How is LMN paresis described?
A
Only paresis- not ataxia Difficulty in weight bearing- either a choppy gait or complete inability to support weight

What are the grades of spinal cord injury?
A
1- pain 2- ataxia 3-non ambulatory but motor function preserved 4-tetra or paraplegia 5- tetra or paraplegia with no deep pain
