Characteristics = Transmitted on chromosome 17, hyperpigmentation, skin tumors, may become malignant

NF2 - Acoustic neuroma
Characteristics = transmitted on chromosome 22, CNS tumors, CN VIII – acoustic, may become malignant

Schwannomas
Characteristics = homogeneous, slow-growing tumors consisting of Schwan cells on the outside of nerves (can move nerves or compressed nerves against bone) less than 1% become malignant
