TMJ ( Decreased rotation And gliding)
cricoarytenoid joint (Decreased rotation and gliding)
Atlantooccipital joint (decreased flexion, extension)
What is ankylosing spondylitis?
A.k.a. Marie-Strumpelle disease
Progressive arthritis of spine and pelvis
begins in childhood and continues throughout life
20% rheumatoid arthritis of extremities
What is a major airway concern of ankylosing spondylitis
May Have a fixed cervical spine flexion
What is degenerative joint disease (DJD)
Degeneration of articular cartilage
i.e. TMJ or cervical spine
