Sx: morning headache, ataxia, transient visual obscuration, enlarged blind spot

small hyaline concretions
Sx: asymptomatic enlarged blind spot with normal VA

optic neuritis
A
demyelination (MS, SLE, adrenoleukodystrophy, sarcoidosis, tumor, behcet, whipple, crohn)
Sx: painful visual loss, loss of color discrimination, central scotoma classic

ischemia (AION)
A
etiology: vascular, carotid occlusion, embolic TIA
Sx: sudden painless visual loss, over age 50, HTN, DM, hypotensive episodes
