Neuro! Flashcards
Generalize the expected mobility for children with spina bifida affecting various levels.
Thoracic to L2 will most likely use a WC for community mobility. L1, L2 can be expected to use orthosis (HAFO/KAFO) and crutches for household mobility. T8-T12 may use RGO in household. Lower levels lesions such as L3 and L4 may allow for community ambulation with orthosis and crutches. Only L5, S1 lesions allow expected ambulation with orthosis but without crutches.
