Data packet
A single package of data that travels along the network path.
Handshaking
The process of negotiation between the sender and receiver by an exchange of messages.
FTP
File Transfer Protocol. Set of rules for transferring large files on the Internet.
Ethernet
A technology to implement LAN.
IPv4
Internet Protocol version 4. A protocol in which each device is assigned a 32-bit address.
IP address
A unique address assigned to each device in a network.
IMAP
Internet Message Access Protocol. A protocol that defines rules for retrieving email messages from a mail server.
HTTP
Hypertext Transfer Protocol. A set of rules used for transferring files such as resources on the Internet.

Exchange of data packets between various routers from the source to reach its destination.

Voice over Internet Protocol. A protocol that enables us to make voice calls over the Internet.
