  • At the highest access level the user can access everything on the network

Password protection

A
  • Passed must be entered before data is accessed by a user

- Prevents sensitive and private information being accessed within the network

Encryption

A
  • Encoding data so that only people that have been authorised can access it
  • Encrypted data requires a key to make it readable
  • The nodes that are communicating with encryption agree on the key before encryption, transmission and decryption.
