Disaster recovery

A
  • Plan on case something goes wrong with the network
  • In case of a physical interruption such as a fire or a vital online attack
  • Usually means that the network operators have a backup of data which will probably be covered under a backup policy

Failover

A

This means that if a piece of key hardware (like a server or router) stops working, a secondary back up device will take over the functionality to prevent network downtime

A

A network that keeps archives means that they keep a store of data currently not inn use but may be used inn the future.
