abnormal feeling (tingling, burning, and pins and needles sensation)
bradykinesia
slow movement

excessive movement
dyskinesia
difficult movement. (impairment of the ability to perform voluntary movements)
akinetic
pertaining to no movement (pertaining to loss or absence of voluntary movement)
epilepsy
upon on or above seizures
narcolepsy
seizures of sleep (uncontrollable compulsion to sleep)
dyslexia
condition of difficulty with words (difficulty reading, writing, and learning)
hemiparesis
weakness of half the body (right or left side)
paresis
partial paralysis or weakness of muscles
aphasia
no speech (difficulty with speech)
motor aphasia
patients know what they want to say but cannot say it
sensory aphasia
difficulty understanding language and may pronounce words easily but uses them incorrectly
hemiplegia
paralysis (loss of the ability to move) of half the body (right or left half of the body)
paraplegia
paralysis (loss of the ability to move) of the lower part of the body (both legs and the lower part of the body)
quadriplegia
paralysis (loss of the ability to move) of all 4 extremities (injury is at the cervical level of the spinal cord)
apraxia
no action (movements and behavior are not purposeful)
neurasthenia
lack of strength in nerves, nerves without strength (nervous exhaustion and fatigue)
syncopal
pertaining to cut short, pertaining to syncope
syncope
fainting, temporary loss of consciousness caused by inadequate flow of blood to the brain
ataxia
no order or coordination (condition of decreased coordination, persistent unsteadiness)
